Making Eye Contact on a Party Bus
Looking someone in the eye can lead to a level of intimacy that many people aren’t going to be all that comfortable with, and a big part of the reason what that is the case has to do with the fact that we have started to immerse ourselves into digital and virtual realities so much so that we have forgotten what it’s like to truly interact with another human being in a physical space thereby establishing a rapport with them that simply won’t be possible in the digital realm no matter how hard you try and no matter how many innovations end up being made in this regard.
The thing to remember about party buses is that they are physical environments. They exist in the real world, since there is no way that an Anamosa party bus could ever end up being transferred onto a computer and maintaining even the barest semblance of its true form. Hence, you need to interact with people based on what is required in the real world, and even though it might just end up making you very uncomfortable indeed you absolutely have to make eye contact in these kinds of circumstances.
Suffice it to say that if you don’t make eye contact this is going to lead to people thinking that you are very strange indeed, so much so that they might just want to try and avoid you at the end of the day. This would lead to feelings of alienation from society, so unless you want to write the greatest rock album of the 90s you might want to just meet someone’s gaze and have an actual conversation with them once in a while.
